This
Will fade
Ev'rything
Will disappear
Like all that you hear,
Like the sound of a bell,
A receding ocean swell,
A story that you once heard tell,
The last remnants of a tree that fell,
Or an old fear that is finally quelled,
Shattered when touched by the omnipresent spell
Cast upon the currents of the rivering world
Something so musical about the etheree when done well like this.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Brian, for taking the time to post a comment. And thanks for being so supportive.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Jim
Jim, I've endorsed your blog at my own this morning and added you to my blogroll.
ReplyDelete"Shaping Words" is a treasure trove that "speaks to my condition". I've learned so much from you already. I've even returned to the "Kokinshu", making it a part of my winter reading -- starting with the winter waka, of course; this is Canada, after all. Brian
Thanks, Brian. I will reciprocate soon.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you return to the 'Kokinshu'. As you know I have a great fondness for it. I haven't published any commentary lately, but I hope to get back to it early next year.
Stay warm,
Jim
