The Lanterne is a challenge to write. Telegraphic language must be made to sound natural and the success of the poem seems to hinge in large part on the skillfulness of the last line.
Thanks for your kind comments. The Lanterne is a challenge. It is the shortest syllabic form I know of. But when it is done right it has a unique vividness.
